Major Functions:

 Under limited supervision, repairs tooling, steel rule dies and fixtures in a timely and efficient manner to support the requirements of manufacturing in meeting the customer demands.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Maintain production tooling and dies in good repair and correct/repair active tooling aids requested by manufacturing to meet the build schedules and minimize down time.

2.      Maintain tool repair log and keep up to date mold and die PM frequency.

3.      Properly maintains storage of all tools and equipment and assures accessibility for shop use.

4.      Keeps up with and maintains working knowledge of changes in tooling concepts and materials applicable to the Company’s manufacturing processes.

5.      Ensure that all safety devices can operate in normal conditions.

6.      Solve tool maintenance issues in case of breakdown.

7.      Participate in mold & die commissioning

8.      Respect work instructions and propose improvement.

9.      Promotes company’s safety efforts and maintains a safe working environment.

10.   Maintains inventory of tooling materials

11.   Tooling and Process improvement/stabilization and production support to Operations and R&D

 

PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:

1.            Knowledge of production standards and machinery operation and/or maintenance.

2.            Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

3.            Ability to work with people.

4.            Leadership skill and decision-making ability.

5.            Willingness to pursue higher level of education if deemed necessary.

6.            Ability to work any shift.

7.           Working knowledge of die cutting, fusion molding, and Urethane molding processes.

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
