MAJOR FUNCTION:

This associate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of shipping/receiving, maintaining accurate inventories, and forklift operation training. Additional responsibilities include assisting other departments, as necessary.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·      Effective written and verbal communication with other associates, supervisors, contractors, vendors, and clients.

·      Be able to work as a “Team” with fellow associates.

·      Be able to identify problems independently and implement common sense approaches to solutions with minimal direction.

·      Be able to work independently in meeting the stated position objectives with minimal direction.

·      Be able to manage daily activities to meet shipping and receiving schedules and other Company objectives.

·      Be able to use a computer for basic e-mail communication, inventory tracking, and other basic operations. 

·     Maintain fork truck and reach truck operating license as issued by Creative Foam.

·      Attend Company sponsored training and outside educational opportunities as assigned and approved by Management.

·      Seek operational efficiencies and implement common sense approaches to problem solving.

·      Meet client expectation for product delivery

·      Learn shipping/receiving and inventory functions of PLEX. 

·      Guide associates assisting with shipping/receiving and inventory control.

·      Track inventory levels.

·      Cycle Inventory counts

·      Proficiently and accurately set up, verify, and communicate shipments due.

·      Perform required incoming inspections for release of raw material to production upon receipt

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma required

  • 3 years of relevant experience a plus

  • UPS, Fedex, LTL and International shipping experience preferred

DESIRED SKILLS FOR THE JOB:

  • Hold or obtain forklift driver certification.

  • Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate with others.

  • Perform basic math functions to track inventory levels.

  • Work with basic hand tools

  • Knowledge and functional experience with Microsoft Office.
