We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Process Engineer to support and optimize our foam manufacturing operations. This role will focus on polyurethane (PUR) foam molding, die cutting, and both hand and robotic automated assembly processes. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, support new product launches, and ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and optimize PUR foam molding processes to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
Lead process improvement initiatives across all plant processes.
Analyze production data to identify trends, reduce scrap, and improve throughput.
Support new product introductions, tooling validation, and process documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Production to resolve technical issues.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process control plans.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations and quality concerns.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with foam or plastics processing.
Experience with PUR foam molding, die cutting, and automated assembly systems is highly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and ERP systems (PLEX).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and chemicals.
Occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs) and extended periods of standing or walking on the production floor.
