MAJOR FUNCTION:

To administer and control the development of product in manufacturing and appropriate manufacturing methods/processes at the most cost effective level while meeting the quality, efficiency and long term objectives of the company.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.           Plans and coordinates production procedures, identifying process needs, improvements and changes, and leads projects designed to implement process changes that are identified, or as directed.


2.           Develops and documents manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.


3.           Responsible for the accurate and adequate storage of engineering records and documents to provide support and verification & validation of process and product changes.


4.           Prepares and provides, as required, cost analysis and justification rationales for engineering changes.


5.           Maintain and comply with all quality and department procedures.


6.           Maintain good working relationships with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Material Control, Sales and Estimating.


7.           Updates and stays current with engineering procedures, processes, materials and manufacturing techniques in order to advise and assist various departments in meeting the objectives of the company.


8.           Performs special projects and other assignments as requires by the Plant Manager.


EDUCATION:

1.           Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience with emphasis on product/process engineering.


DESIRED SKILLS:

1.           CAD – Solidworks, AutoCAD

2.           CAM – MasterCAM, ArtiosCAD, WinCAP

3.           Manufacturing experience

4.           Process validation

5.           Familiarity with ISO 13485
