MAJOR FUNCTION:
To assist and provide hands-on maintenance support to all areas in order to maintain effective and efficient maintenance of production machinery, material handling equipment, and the general plant and its utilities. Assist in upgrade developments and installations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Hands-on machine maintenance support including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair.
2. Hands-on plant maintenance support including utilities and structure.
3. Performs the scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance program to its specifications and guidelines.
4. Assists in special plant improvement programs.
5. Assists in the manufacture, assembly, and installation of machine or plant upgrades.
6. Responsible for keeping accurate information on a project or repair work order including problem, remedy, labor, parts and downtime incurred in a legible, specific format.
7. May be required to travel for maintenance or production reasons.
8. Promotes company’s safety efforts and maintains a safe working environment for employees.
9. Performs other tasks as required.
EDUCATION:
1. High school education.
PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:
1. Minimum 3 years experience in the industrial maintenance field.
2. Strong mechanical background.
3. Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and their operation and application.
4. General plumbing and plant maintenance.
5. Ability to read a schematic and/or blueprint.
6. Welding/cutting/fabrication experience.
7. Strong troubleshooting skills.
8. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations a plus.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM
