Description

Assist hands-on in the development of products/processes/tooling that will be integrated from concept and prototype phases into production environments.  Also produce sample products from prototype and/or production tooling.


Functions

  • Make sample parts - form/cut/assemble

  • Make simple tooling, i.e. mold fixtures, vacuum boxes, framing, etc.

  • Run low volume production

  • Set up/run thermoforms, die cut press, and other shop and production equipment

  • Assist with material handling, shipping, and receiving

  • Identify and suggest process/product improvements

  • Follow good general safety practices

  • Keep work areas safe, clean, and well organized

  • Maintain documentation of processing parameters for sample/production runs

  • Perform other tasks as required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Prerequisites

  • 2-5 years in shop, prototyping, and/or thermal forming environment

  • Measure/cut accurately

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Clean work habits

  • Machine set up/run

  • Flexibility in a fast-paced environment

  • Dependability with good work ethics

  • Creative nature
