SUMMARY: The Engineering Manager is responsible for the engineering functions in their assigned location(s) ensuring that engineering activities align with organizational objectives.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage departmental scheduling and product output in adherence to latest global quality system standards

• Manage departmental duties associated with planning engineering programs / projects, reviewing design and method recommendations, and purchasing / implementing new equipment

• Manage new product development along with corporate from quoting to full production including necessary layout changes.

• Investigate and implement new and innovative methods and technologies that align with the strategic vision of the company

• Manage and lead the continuous improvement activities to achieve the savings targets of the plant

• Administer operations in accordance with Creative Foam policies, priorities and budget constraints

• Implement effective engineering methods and provide technical guidance while serving as a resource for engineers

• Practice Creative Foam’s values in a positive manner at all times

• Work overtime as required based on business needs and/or operational requirements

• Perform all other tasks as requested and required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in engineering and six or more years related experience. Prior management experience is preferred.
