ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·        Extensive experience in contour machining and mold making.

·        Select appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, feed rates, and depth of cut for job processing.

·        Operate and manufacture parts on manual lathe or mill as needed (small tasks).

·        Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate the manufacturing feasibility of new projects.

·        Troubleshoot and enhance processes for improved quality and efficiency.

·        Proficient in fixture design and setup of Haas, Fadal, and SMTCL CNC machines.

·        Machine components to a tolerance of .003”.

·        Perform light design work using NX software preferred.

·        Available to work overtime as required.

·        Measure parts for conformance to specifications using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and probing techniques.

·        Maintain a clean and organized work area following the 5S method.

·        Read and interpret component drawings, layouts, sketches, GD&T, and other specifications.

·        Willing to train and mentor team members in best practices.

·        Assist with and conduct preventative maintenance on equipment.

·        Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

·        Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

·        Work with oils, lubricants, and coolants.

·        Capable of performing physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

·        Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with 3D Mastercam 2018+, and over 8 years of overall CAM experience

  • Experience with 3 and 4-axis programming is required.

  • Must be capable of manual machining operations (Mill & Lathe)

  • Must pass a preliminary programming test.
